CBSE Class X Board Exam 2020 to have 10% Questions on Critical Thinking
10% Questions in CBSE Class X exams will be on critical thinking – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the Class X Board Exam 2020 will include 8 to 10 per cent questions based on critical thinking, analysis and competency.
These questions can be case-based or comprehension passage-based, focusing on high order skills. The board has made this change in order to assess the students’ competence to analyse, reason and communicate their ideas effectively.
Sample question papers recently uploaded by CBSE for the 2019-20 academic session for Class X subjects, including Hindi, English, social science and mathematics also contains a minimum of two questions on critical thinking and creativity.
The board has very clearly specified that some modifications have been made during the process of preparation of sample question papers (SQP) in order to prepare the students for future challenges.

Board has also asked all schools to take into consideration the modification in the SQP and prepared the students as per the latest sample question papers.” To make the students understand the new concepts clearly, pre-board question papers has to be prepared in accordance with the new sample papers.
The Board has also reduced the number of subjective/descriptive questions to enable the students to have enough time to think and write creatively.
