IBPS Clerk is one of the most sought after banking exams in the country for candidates who wish to secure a position in public sector banks in clerical cadre post. IBPS Clerk 2019 Prelims Exam Analysis – Overall Difficulty
The prelims exam according to IBPS Clerk exam pattern comprised three sections - English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. All the questions were objective type. Total duration of the test was 60 minutes, however, candidates were required to complete each section within 60 minutes. Total marks allotted to the test are 100. IBPS Clerk Exam Analysis 2019 by Students
Shiksha visited one of the exam centres of IBPS Clerk in Sector 62, Noida, where more than 4500 students appeared for the exam to gather the feedback of candidates regarding the difficulty level of exam. Candidates who had appeared in the fourth shift of first day of exam shared their views on the difficulty level of exam.
Manish who appeared in the exam for the first time said, "I have attempted 72 questions. In English, I have attempted 30 questions. There were questions on Reading Comprehension and Fillers. In Numerical Ability, there was one question on wrong number series that was difficult. However, Data Interpretation (DI) questions were easy. The DI was based on bar graph. In Reasoning, puzzles were easy. I have attempted three puzzles in Reasoning. There is no change in the exam pattern. I have gone through the previous years' question papers, the paper was similar as last year."
Gaurav Anijwa who has completed M.Com and teaches students said, "The overall difficuly of IBPS Clerk exam was easy. The maximum attempt would be 80 to 85. I would like to advise the students appearing in the upcoming shifts to be confident and do well."
Chandraveer Singh said, "I have attempted 80 questions. The overall paper difficulty level of the exam was easy."
Saransh said, "The paper was easy to moderate. There were four puzzles and one was tricky. There were three types of error detection. Maths had only one DI and was easy. The cut off might be around 65 to 70."
Sumit said, "The overall difficulty was easy to moderate. In Maths, there were 5 questions on series, 5 on simplification, 5 on wrong answers, 15 on word problems and 5 on DI. In Reasoning, there were 3 questions on puzzles and 5 on syllogism . In English, there were 5 questions on error detection and 5 on rearrangement."
Vivek Gupta said, "The overall paper was easy. English was easy. In Maths, there were questions on wrong number series and it was easy. The Reasoning section was easy too. In Reasoning, I have attempted 20 questions and 30 each in Maths and English."
