GATE 2020 – The registered candidates for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2020 can correct details in their applicaion form from October 15, 2019, on gate.iitd.ac.in. GATE 2020 will be held on February 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2020. Candidates can download their admit card from January 03, 2020. GATE is a national level engineering entrance exam held annually by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology. Successful candidates get admission in M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch / Ph.D courses. GATE scores is also used for various PSU recruitments. GATE 2020
GATE is conducted jointly by IISC Bangalore and 7 IITs if the nation on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education,MHRD, Government of India. GATE 2020 is being held against 25 subjects papers. Biomedical Engineering is the newest addition from this year.

GATE 2020 Form Correction
GATE form correction facility open for all the registered candidates. Using this facility candidates can change details in the already submitted application form. However, not all the details can be changed. IIT Delhi allows only selected details for corrections.
How to do form correction?

Step 2: Next on the page, enter the GATE enrollment ID and the password
Step 3: You can check the GATE form with details that can be edited. If you have any changes make them and save those changes.

There are 25 papers in GATE 2020. These papers are held in a total of 8 sessions in 4 days. There is 2 session each day. The schedule is released online. The exam time in all the 4 days is given in the table below:

GATE 2020 Admit Card
The admit card of GATE 2020 is released on GOAPS. candidates need to use their GATE enrollment ID and password to download their GATE Admit Card. The admit card is download link is actovated for all the registered candidates of GATE. Using the link the admit card can be downloaded and have to be carried on the exam day.
Via the GATE 2020 Admit Card, you are informed about:
- Exam date
- Exam Day
- Time of the exam (session)
- Exam center code and address
- Important exam day instructions
How to carry the admit card of GATE 2020?
- On the exam day, carry the admit card in printed format in A4 sized paper. Also accompany the admit card with original valid photo ID proof.
- Ensure that the photo and signature on the printed admit card is clear. To do so a colored print is preferred.
GATE 2020 Syllabus
There are 25 papers in GATE 2020. Last year, Statistics with the code ST was added to the list and this year BM has been added. The syllabus for all these papers are different, however, only the General Aptitude syllabus is common in all the papers.

GATE 2020 General Aptitude Syllabus – GA subject paper is to be attempted by all the candidates regardless of the subject paper they choose in GATE.
- Verbal Ability: English grammar, verbal analogies, sentence completion, instructions, word groups, critical reasoning and verbal deduction.
- Numerical Ability: Numerical computation, numerical reasoning numerical estimation, and data interpretation.

It is important that a candidate must be well aware of the structure of the exam. Check the GATE exam pattern below:

- Duration of exam: 03 hours
- Language of the test: English only
- Type of Questions: Multiple choice type (MCQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT).

– 10 questions in the exam are from from GA, whereas, 55 questions are from Subject paper.
– MCQ are those questions for which multiple answer options are given and 1 is correct.
– NAT questions are those questions which candidates need to solve and answer enter answer manually, with the help of virtual numeric keypad.

The total number of GATE 2020 exam city are 209. Out of them 6 centers are loacted outside India. The students have to enter their choice 3 exam city in the application form in order of preference.
